November 6, 2006

Massachusetts metal act BURN IN SILENCE has issued the following update:

"Mike [Casavant, guitar] was rushed to the emergency room late last night, early this morning, and the doctors told us that he has walking pneumonia as well as strep throat. He's been given medication and we have sinced dropped him off at his house!!! Unfortunately, Mike will not be able to finish the MISERY INDEX tour. As of right now we are gonna try and finish this tour with just Alan [Glassman] on guitar!! We apologize to all of you that were coming out to see the full lineup!! Obviously this is out of our control and we can't really do anything about the situation other then try to finish the tour!! Please everyone keep Mike in your thoughts and hope for a speedy recovery. We will let you know tomorrow if were gonna continue on the MISERY INDEX tour!!"

BURN IN SILENCE last week unveiled the first video from its Prosthetic Records debut, "Angel Maker". Filmed in July with director Mike Wildt in Costa Mesa, Calif., the clip features a horror movie-inspired storyline along with performance footage of the album's lead track, "Lines from an Epitaph". The video can be viewed at the Prosthetic RecordsYouTube page.

Staying busy this year has been the name of the game for BURN IN SILENCE. The band has already toured heavily throughout 2006 alongside THE AUTUMN OFFERING, TOO PURE TO DIE, BLACK MY HEART and headlining shows on their own, as well as appearing at Boston's annual Locobazooka festival alongside ALICE IN CHAINS, BUCKCHERRY and POWERMAN 5000.

Already dubbed a Bay State up-and-comer by the Boston Herald and hailed by Ruin magazine as "hands down, the best debut of the year," "Angel Maker" was recorded with producer Ken Susi (UNEARTH) in late 2005 and early 2006, with Tue Madsen (HIMSA, THE HAUNTED) handling mixing duties. The record is the follow-up to BURN IN SILENCE's self-released "Pure as Your First Day" EP.
